Bernhard Kasberger received this year’s Heinz König Young Scholar Award by the Center for European Economic Research (ZEW), Mannheim. He shares the prize with Jiekai Zhang of ParisTech.
Bernhard’s work concerns the efficiency of mobile phone markets after spectrum auctions. In particular, he identifies ways to improve auction design in favor of consumers and telecommunication companies alike.
The Heinz König Young Scholar Award is named after the founding director of the ZEW, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Heinz König and honors outstanding empirical work of young economists.
